Over 20 nursing facilities. Since 2019, the gailus.org team has been supporting nursing facilities, mostly in 2-year projects.
Situation & Need

- Shortage of skilled workers and image problems

- Also, there’s a perceived high dependence on external guidelines.
Solutions
Each nursing facility must be able to a) operate stably again, so that b) it can tell its own story, enabling c) the cultivation of a positive work culture with existing and new employees.
Depending on the situation, flexible support is needed because:
- Leaders need to be pulled out of or protected from burnout
- Leadership needs to be lived out effectively
- Genuine collaboration within teams needs to be strengthened, or sometimes initiated
- Confidence needs to be instilled through authentic communication efforts, with perseverance
- Justice needs to be brought into the system and everyday life
- Change needs to be felt, so it’s preferable to set fewer goals but pursue them intensely
