Corporate history
Founder Andreas Gailus, born in 1977, flirted with the idea of founding Sports Update after the turn of the millennium, tried it out and finally received funding through the Exist Seed Programme to get this start-up based at the University of Münster off the ground.
The aim and idea of Sports Update were very similar to what the specialist and process consultancy Gailus.org does, because it was about transferring expertise into operational practice, building teams and triggering a kind of movement and setting towards the better.
At the time of Sports Update, this was still very much an individual approach, the self-competent, health-oriented life, but a little later the context and the view of the setting and life of and in an organisation grew. The years as an employed specialist and process consultant brought me into contact with the classic BGM filed, including areas such as the company’s first absenteeism report and employee survey and innovative developments such as the health workshop and the like.
Around 2010, Andreas Gailus remembeed hearing the name Josef Beuys as a child and looking at him with wonder and interest.
Many years later, Beuys and experiences from Movements and Momentums projects, inspired the change of settings and the desire to start up again and return to designing programms – the project and process consultancy Gailus.org was born in his mind.
After careful consideration, including “Where should the whole thing go?”, things got underway: on 30 June 2012, the company was officially founded, day 1 of the company. Some old customers from the former employer continued to stay.
The best compliment in our company's history was certainly that of a customer in Bavaria who said: "When I commission Team gailus.org, I know that they will go the extra mile“
The aim from day 1 was to set up a company with both permanent and freelance employees – why? To have staying power and to be able to accompany an organisation with staying endurance and team play, with trust and strong, established relationships.
The best compliment in our company’s history was certainly that of a customer in Bavaria who said: “When I commission Team gailus.org, I know that they will go the extra mile”
The specialist and process consultancy gailus.org has set an important course with its in-depth crisis experience during the coronavirus pandemic and has become a project and process consultant agency not only internally, but also externally. We want to offer our clients full service and the many additional services required to ensure that projects in the world of HR are sucessfull.
All too often, projects fail because the small to-dos are not completed. Today, Gailus.org has over 10 permanent employees and more than 15 freelance colleagues, most of whom have been with us for many years and we are very happy and proud of that.
The mission has hardly changed since day one: To make a difference, and to do so in organisations, hence the abbreviation ‘.org’ in the logo – the focus on the organisation is close to our hearts, because for us, organisations are organisms that live and mature. This focus is central and will remain so.
