Leading in a healthy way and creating space
Creating the physical and psychological space.
A simple principle for leaders.
This is about the participating leaders learning, digesting, and perhaps even applying a seemingly simple principle: the principle of shaping both the physical and psychological space.
Every leader is familiar with the effect of offering a glass of water to their employee in a warm manner during the annual one-on-one goal-setting meeting, perhaps even with the phrase “Nice to have you here”.
Every leader also knows the difference between conversations that take place in an open field versus those in a dark cellar. Shaping the physical and psychological space during encounters is therefore not difficult. The challenge lies in having an intuitive touch for the spontaneous shaping of such encounters and conversations in everyday unplanned interactions, during walks through the company, during sudden conflicts, in discussions following mistakes, under time pressure, or during crises. This is what makes leadership successful. The impulse, or workshop, therefore traverses through contents such as:
- My own relationship type
- The principle of shaping encounters in multiple examples
- The concept of “relationship offering”
- From conscious to unconscious
- Methods for keeping calm and staying in leadership during moments of stress
- Tools for leaders
